Shipping container fire resistant houses

We saw Australia on fire, we can only pray for a fast and healthy recovery after the horrible loses and damages made by fire. A Californian architecture company thought of a better use for the shipping containers, that can be stylish and in the same time fire resistant. When living close to the woods or jungles is dangerous, fire can start just like the ones in California, Australia or Argentina last year and around the world in the past few years.

The architects used fire-resistant materials and incorporate off-grid capabilities. Exterior materials, walls, flooring, and hardware are personalized from a selection of finishes that create a range of budget-conscious and luxurious possibilities.

At 160 sq feet, the Buhaus Concept, is comfortable, customizable and compact. it includes a bedroom and bathroom space and is filled with smart space-saving solutions and custom cabinetry. The house doors may be secured for privacy and weather conditions, and by day panels open to reveal a shaded wood deck as well as an outdoor shower.

The house is divided into two areas, a multi-purpose main space and a bathroom. The cabinetry boasts a hideaway Murphy bed that creates office space with a drop-down desk when hidden. The under-counter storage and a refrigerator offer some space for keeping personal belongings and perishables.

What a cool design, full of style and in the same time it makes you feel safe and strong when facing nature’s wrath.
