Containers for a Cause Campaign Highlights USA Containers’ Commitment to Community

At USA Containers, the end of the year has always been about more than just meeting sales quotas. Every November and December, we take time to reflect on the past and commit ourselves to making the future of our company and communities even brighter. This holiday season, the company reaffirmed that commitment through Containers for a Cause, a company-wide initiative that donates a portion of every container sale, rental, and rent-to-own transaction to charitable causes in the United States and around the world.
Rather than focusing on a single organization, USA Containers structured its holiday giving to reflect the people behind the business. Sales, logistics, accounting, and operations teams all participated, raising funds for charities connected to their communities, families, and home countries. The result was a collective effort that blended everyday business activity with tangible impact.
Turning Everyday Sales Into Holiday Support
The scale of operations quickly turned daily transactions into meaningful support for families and organizations in need. This approach ensured that our customers were also part of the effort simply by doing business with us. Every purchase helped fund gifts, medical care, and direct assistance during one of the most financially challenging times of the year for many households.
Internally, the initiative became a friendly competition. Team leaders were chosen from our sales and operations teams to represent regions across the United States as well as team members’ home countries. Each leader chose where their team’s donations would go, allowing funds to support causes that resonated locally.
This structure mirrored how USA Containers operates day to day: locally grounded, but globally connected.
Supporting Children and Families in Utah
One of the most direct local efforts took place in Salt Lake County and Davis County (where USA Containers is headquartered). Donations focused on supporting children from low-income households through the Utah Department of Health and Human Services. Gifts included practical necessities such as clothing, as well as items that sparked joy like Bluey and Spiderman merchandise, bicycles, and other age-appropriate toys and games. The intent was not only to ease financial strain for families, but to be sure children experienced the excitement of the holiday season.
Nationwide Depot Network Drives Holiday Donations
Across the United States, Containers for a Cause brought donations to communities served by each of our sales and delivery zones. Team leaders in this zones chose the following charities to receive donations from this campaign:
Samaritan’s Purse, a nondenominational organization providing aid to those in need in the United States and around the world;
Children’s Harbor, a “nationally accredited child welfare organization with a mission to provide safe harbor and support to at-risk children and youth”;
The Kansas Children's Service League, an organization that “works statewide to prevent child abuse and neglect, support parents, promote school readiness, and educate communities”;
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which provides housing assistance for military veterans;
Dream Centers, an organization that “supports single-mother families experiencing crisis”; and,
The American Cancer Society, whose mission is to “improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support.”
Together, these zones ensured that holiday giving reached communities across the country, reflecting the national footprint of USA Containers.
International Giving from an International Team
USA Containers’ charitable reach extended well beyond U.S. borders. As an international company with operations team members based in Brazil, El Salvador, Romania, and Albania, among other countries, the holiday initiative reflected the global nature of its workforce.
Teams led by international staff directed donations to charities in their home countries, supporting causes that addressed local needs and realities. This aspect of Containers for a Cause reinforced a core part of the company’s culture: while operations span borders, team members remain connected to their communities.
The initiative allowed team members to give back in ways that felt personal rather than symbolic, strengthening ties between the company and the places its employees call home.
More Than a Campaign, a Shared Value
This holiday season, USA Containers delivered more than shipping containers with help from its customers, employees, and partners. They delivered warmth, care, and a sense of connection to families who need it the most.
The Containers for a Cause holiday giving campaign reflects how the company views its role in the communities it serves. Shipping containers may be the product, but people remain the priority.
