From Crying to Crushing It: Daiane Gioppo’s Climb at USA Containers

When Daiane Gioppo joined USA Containers in June 2023, she didn’t expect the job to change her life. But two years later, she’s not only handling hundreds of payments every month, she’s become one of the most trusted people in the company.

Finding Her Way

Two years ago, Daiane was juggling a demanding job in HR and studying at Cumorah Academy. The pressure was so intense that she used to schedule time in her day just to cry. But when a friend mentioned a vacancy at USA Containers, she applied without expectations. She remembers dressing up for the interview, only to find out it was over the phone.

“It was so fast,” she laughed. “I wasn’t even sure I was hired until they sent the contract.”

Daiane started small, checking delivery documents from drivers. But it didn’t take long for her role to grow. Within months, she was managing vendor payments, issuing e-checks, and ensuring that hundreds of truckers and reps were paid on time, every single day.

A Critical Role With a Human Touch

Daiane is now the Financial Operations Manager at USA Containers, and her job affects nearly every department. She reviews delivery paperwork, processes payments for containers and vendors, and makes sure agents and drivers receive their paychecks without delay.

“I like my job because I make people happy,” she says. “If I do my job right, they get paid.”

She handles an enormous volume of responsibility, but she’s earned the trust that comes with it. At first, every single payment she processed was double-checked by leadership. Now, she’s one of the most reliable team members in the department.

“She never hides anything,” said Andrei Popa, the company’s founder. “We trust her because she’s honest. Mistakes happen, but she always takes responsibility.”

Strength Through Challenges

Daiane’s life hasn’t been without difficulty. Her father’s cancer diagnosis last year was a heavy moment, but she used it as an opportunity to deepen their bond and see life differently.

“He’s doing better now,” she says. “We laugh a lot together.”

She also faced some humorous hurdles. She missed not one, but two international flights to company retreats, once due to traffic, once because she overslept. But in true Daiane fashion, she turned the setbacks into stories, still making it to Kenya and Mexico to be part of the team.

A Pioneer and a Role Model

Daiane was the first Brazilian employee at USA Containers. Now, there are over a dozen. She paved the way, not only by doing great work, but by bringing energy, warmth, and commitment to everything she touches.

She’s also a lifelong learner. While working full-time, she completed two degrees, one of them in personal image consulting, a passion of hers.

“I want people to feel good in their own skin,” she said. “Clothes and confidence go hand in hand.”

Grateful for the Growth

Today, Daiane lives with her father and continues to build a life she loves. She handles large-scale finances for the company, supports team members across departments, and brings her full self to every task.

“I’m a grateful person,” she says. “Everything changed when I decided to trust that things could be better, and I allowed God to prevail in my life.”

Daiane didn’t set out to lead finance at a fast-growing company. But she took a chance, and in doing so, changed her own life, and the lives of many others.

USA Containers is lucky to have her.
