Life, Loss, and Logistics: The Inspiring Story of Ariel Sanchez
Share
If you have worked with Ariel Sanchez, you probably know him as the calm and focused Logistics Coordinator who keeps orders moving and customers updated. What you might not know is the story behind the man — a journey of resilience, responsibility, and a deep commitment to family.
The Connection That Opened a Door
Ariel first heard about USA Containers through a long-time friend and former colleague, Jonathan. They had worked together a decade earlier and kept in touch over the years. One day, Jonathan reached out about an opening at USA Containers, and Ariel decided to apply. The timing was right. In September 2024, he joined the company while still holding another job, a night shift he had worked for years.
For the first four months, Ariel worked two jobs back-to-back, juggling early mornings with USA Containers and overnight hours at his previous position. It was exhausting, but it gave him the stability to transition fully into his new role.
Years in Customer Service and Technical Support
Before joining USA Containers, Ariel spent more than a decade in the call center industry. He worked for companies like The Office Gurus, handling legal intake for a large law firm, and for TELUS on Google’s technical support account, helping businesses solve email and G Suite issues.
He also spent three years with Bell Canada tech support, assisting customers with internet, phone, and TV services. Ariel stayed for years at each job, building expertise and developing the patience that serves him well today.
The Weight of Responsibility
Ariel’s life outside of work has shaped his character as much as his career. Born and raised in El Salvador, he is the oldest of three siblings. In 2010, his mother collapsed unexpectedly and was diagnosed with a large brain tumor. Multiple surgeries saved her life, but she never regained full mobility. Ariel stepped in as the primary provider for his family while still finishing high school. The family lost their home and spent years renting before Ariel was able to buy a small house which is home to seven people and the family dog.
Loss and Resilience
In 2015, Ariel’s best friend was killed in gang violence, just days before his birthday. The tragedy came after years of caring for his mother, and it forced Ariel to develop a way of moving forward without letting grief consume him. He learned to process hardship without dwelling on it, knowing that his family depended on him.
His younger brother was inspired by Ariel’s example, learned English, and began working in a call center as well, helping the family financially and even giving Ariel his Christmas bonuses for two years to help pay off debts.
Life as a Logistics Coordinator
At USA Containers, Ariel’s role is the bridge between sales, drivers, and customers. When a sale is made, he assigns the driver, coordinates delivery schedules, and keeps customers informed. Challenges like bad weather, specific date requests, or last-minute changes are part of his everyday problem-solving.
Known for his attention to detail, Ariel approaches his work with a “do it right the first time” mindset. He is dedicated to making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
Looking to the Future
After years of living day to day and focusing solely on bills, Ariel now allows himself to think about what he wants next. His hopes are to achieve a better work/life balance, a family of his own, and more travel. His dream is to see the world, with Japan, Italy, and Argentina high on his list.
For now, Ariel continues to be a steady, reliable presence at USA Containers, bringing the same commitment he has shown his family for years. His story is one of quiet strength, and we are fortunate to have him on our team.
