Meet Guilherme Martins — IT Coordinator at USA Containers

When you think of technology, systems, and workflows at USA Containers, there’s a good chance Guilherme Martins has played a part in making them work smoothly. But beyond his IT expertise, Guilherme is a family man, an adventurer, and someone who brings warmth and curiosity to everything he does.

From Mission Work to IT

Guilherme’s journey into tech started young, driven by a love for solving problems and creating tools that make life easier. After serving as a missionary in Costa Rica and Brazil, he worked for two years as a developer at a company that built accounting systems for businesses working with the government. 

This role sharpened his skills in building and maintaining systems that people rely on every day. When he was ready for a new challenge, USA Containers came into the picture.

Joining USA Containers

In December 2024, Guilherme joined the team as IT Coordinator. His work revolves around managing the company’s CRM, setting up automations, handling workflows, and troubleshooting any tech issues that arise. He also works on internal systems that track orders and container operations.

As he puts it, “I like to build things that work — things people can use and that help them.” For a business where systems are critical to daily operations, Guilherme’s role is key to keeping everything running smoothly.

A Chance Connection

Guilherme learned about the position through Nina, a connection from Cumorah Academy, a program where he was doing an internship. Although they’d never met in person, Nina recommended him for the job, and the rest is history.

Love, Travel, and New Adventures

Guilherme’s life isn’t all about work. He loves traveling and recently spent three weeks in Peru visiting his girlfriend, whom he also met through Cumorah Academy. They communicate in a mix of Spanish, English, and Portuguese — a blend that reflects their multicultural story.

Together, they’ve explored Peru’s coastal deserts and beautiful oases, and while Machu Picchu is still on his list, Guilherme has no shortage of travel dreams for the future.

Growing Up in Southern Brazil

Guilherme lives in the southern region of Brazil, a place known for its cooler weather and beautiful landscapes. He’s close to his family: his mother Juliana, father Moricy, brother Arthur, and his youngest sister Melissa, who’s only two years old. Family is central to who he is, and he dreams of one day having a big family of his own.

Life by the Water

Ask Guilherme where he’s happiest, and you’ll likely find him at the beach or by the pool. His dream is to one day have a house by the sea, where he can enjoy the water every day.

He’s also passionate about sports, from skateboarding and BMX to basketball. While he’s not much of a soccer fan (a rare thing for a Brazilian!), he keeps an eye on basketball teams like the L.A. Lakers and even says he’d support the Utah Jazz if he ever moved to Utah.

A Curious Mind

Guilherme enjoys conversations about big questions, from space travel and the moon landing to whether aliens exist. His curiosity reflects the same problem-solving mindset he applies to his work: always asking questions, exploring possibilities, and keeping an open mind.

The Journey Ahead

As Guilherme continues his journey with USA Containers, his focus remains on building reliable systems, learning new skills, and making a positive impact on the team. And outside of work, you’ll probably find him traveling, spending time with family, or chasing the waves.
