Why Marcie Almeida Is a Perfect Fit for USA Containers’ Inventory Team

At USA Containers, every department plays a key role in making sure our customers get the containers they need on time. Behind the emails, there are dedicated people who make it all happen, including Marcie Almeida, one of our inventory coordinators.

From Education to Inventory

Before joining USA Containers, Marcie worked in education. She was a financial aid specialist at Ensign College in Salt Lake City and later became an enrollment counselor for BYU Pathway. Her favorite part of that role was connecting with students from all over the world, and helping them reach their academic goals.

She also earned her associate degree in communications at Ensign College and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in business management through BYU–Idaho.

Starting at USA Containers

Marcie joined USA Containers nearly a year ago and quickly found her place in inventory. Today, she manages operations for one of our zones, making sure sales teams and customers get the right containers at the right price.

Her responsibilities include coordinating container purchases for incoming orders, handling depot issues and problem-solving on tight timelines, negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, and supporting sales reps with accurate inventory availability.

While depot challenges can be stressful, Marcie thrives on solving problems and keeping operations running smoothly.

A Natural Fit

What makes Marcie excel in inventory is her ability to build relationships. She enjoys speaking with vendors and customers, turning daily interactions into long-term partnerships.

“I didn’t have a background in inventory when I started,” Marcie shared, “but it fit like a glove. I love working with logistics, with my team, and especially building connections with people. Inventory is definitely where I belong.”

Her organizational skills and attention to detail keep her zone running efficiently, and her colleagues praise her ability to keep track of every moving piece.

Life Beyond Work

Marcie is originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and has been married for two years to her husband, Ryan. 

Travel is one of her biggest passions. She has lived in Utah, New York, and Brazil, and dreams of visiting Asia in the future. If she could choose the next company retreat, she would pick Thailand, Japan, or South Korea, with Japan at the top of her list thanks to her husband’s stories about living there.

She also has a lighter side. During the interview, Marcie joked about aliens, flying cars, and conspiracy theories, showing the fun, curious energy she brings to the team.

The Right Opportunities at the Right Time

Marcie’s first year with USA Containers is a reminder that the right opportunities often come at the right time. What started as an unexpected career shift has become a role she loves.

“I’m really happy here,” Marcie said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity and for everyone I work with. It’s such a supportive environment, and I feel lucky to be part of it.”

As USA Containers continues to grow, Marcie will no doubt remain an essential part of the process, ensuring every container is accounted for and every team member has what they need to succeed.
