How to use

Step-by-Step Installation

Step 1: Choose Your Solar Panel Location

  1. Find a location on either the roof or the side of your shipping container that receives maximum sunlight throughout the day.
  2. Ensure the location allows the wire to easily reach the interior of your container where you plan to hang the lights.

Step 2: Mount the Solar Panel

  1. Hold the mounting bracket against the container at your chosen location.
  2. Using a power drill and the provided hardware (screws), secure the bracket firmly into the container shell.
  3. Attach the solar panel to the bracket.
  4. Pro-Tip: Utilize the built-in adjustable range on the bracket to angle the panel directly toward the sun for optimal year-round charging.

Step 3: Route the Wiring Into the Container

  1. Drill a small hole through the roof or the side of the container near the mounted solar panel.
  2. Feed the solar panel’s power wire through the hole and into the interior of the container.
  3. CRITICAL STEP: To prevent leaks and weather damage, completely seal the drilled hole from the outside using a standard exterior-grade silicone sealant or caulk.

Step 4: Mount and Connect the Workshop Lights

  1. Take the two interior workshop lights inside the container.
  2. For maximum brightness and coverage, it is recommended to mount the lights along the vertical axis of your container's ceiling/walls.
  3. Plug the solar panel wire directly into the corresponding connectors on the lights.

What Our Customers Say

  • Jordyn S.

I bought these for our new container. They were very easy to install and work great. They’re super bright once fully charged. Great price for the quality of these lights.

  • Edna M.

So easy to put together, the brightness is excellent, I haven’t test the duration of the battery but so far so good

  • Nicholas S.

Long lasting, great quality. I’m very happy with these lights.

  • Sally S.

This was very easy to install. I was able to get it set up in a short period of time. I used the item to add light under my carport for safety at night. The chain it comes with is not sturdy to use outdoors 24/7 so I customized a new chain to hang it up. This was not complicated. It was lighting up the area within the same day. The lit area covers quite a bit a space and it’s bright enough no extra light is needed.

  • Christine H.

This is actually a product that works as it should. Easy install and very good lighting!

  • Dustin P.

Have a new tool shed for storage and thought having some light out there would be nice. These were cheap and soooooo easy to do. Lots of cord length…did not need it but handy for some folks. I think it was easily 10 feet. Stays on about the right amount of time and does not bother coming on during daylight hours which is also fine for my needs. The two of them were plenty of light for a 10×10 shed to generally see around and even get things done in if you needed to. the solar is a huge plus as I don’t have to run a cord just to see around.

  • Bill N.

Easy to install and gives plenty of light to shed

  • Aldo C.

Love them the only thing is they are only Sensor light so they turn on and off but other than that I love them

  • Kristine S.

Used in our storage shed . Works amazing! Super happy with the amount of light it gives off . Easy to install ! Motion detection is quick and work s as should .

Frequently Asked Questions

How do solar-powered container lights work without wiring?

Each light pairs an interior LED fixture with a solar panel, so the panel collects sunlight during the day and charges a built-in battery that powers the light when you need it. That means you get usable interior lighting with no electrician, no mains power, and no wiring run into the container, which is ideal for off-grid containers, job sites, and remote storage.

Are these bright enough to work by?

They are designed as workshop lights, so they are meant to light a container interior for working, not just provide a soft glow. With two lights in the pack, you can position them to cover more of the space and reduce shadows.

How long do they run on a charge?

Runtime depends on how much sun the panel receives and the brightness setting you use, but the built-in battery is sized to provide lighting after dark from a day of charging.

How are the lights installed?

The interior light mounts inside the container while the solar panel is placed where it gets sunlight, typically outside or on the roof, with the two connected so the panel can charge the light. Because there is no wiring to the grid, setup is a straightforward DIY job.
