Industrial Solar-Powered Corrugated Vent

Introducing our specialized solar-powered vent for shipping containers! Designed to fit the corrugated shape of your container’s roof, this vent provides efficient and eco-friendly ventilation. Harness the power of the sun to keep your container fresh and well-ventilated.

This solar-powered fan vent helps remove hot, moist air faster than a passive vent alone. Promotes uniform air movement throughout the vented space, which helps minimize mold/mildew growth. Moving air also helps prevent moist wood that can lead to rot, rust, and pest infestations.

As for how many vents are needed, it depends on the size of your container and how much ventilation you need. A general rule of thumb is that you should have one vent for every 20 feet of container length, however, this can vary depending on your specific needs.

The vent is powered by a solar panel that charges a battery during the day, which then powers the fan at night.

Some additional features of this product include:

  • Easy installation: This product requires no wiring or electricity and can be easily installed on your shipping container.
  • Comes with a solar panel that is wired to a two-ball bearing, 2600rpm, 96cfm fan that is rated for 50,000 hours
  • Leak-proof flashing: The flashing has been designed to prevent leaks and keep your container dry.
  • Weather-resistant: This product is made of high-quality materials that are weather-resistant and can withstand harsh weather conditions.
  • Effective ventilation: The fan is capable of moving up to 800 cubic feet of air per minute, which is more than enough to keep your container cool and dry.

An excellent piece of hardware, works exactly as advertised. The unit came with no damage and all parts were in the box. The one issue I had with it was that I put too much sealant on the foam gasket that was supplied and when I ran the screws through to the container metal, it pushed the fan flange down with enough force to squish out the gasket. It wasn’t a problem since I had used so much sealant, but the gasket material somewhat obscured the fan opening into the container so I just cut it off. I think for the next one I’ll be a bit more judicious on the sealant application.

Installed 2 of these in a 40’ containers and it made a big difference in the air circulating. These have nothing to hold a charge, so are directly related to the strength of the sun. In full sun they spin super fast, if the sun goes behind a little cloud they slow. We’ll see how the stored jet skis and motorcycle look after this summer compared to before we installed them.

We’ve had these going in our 40′ high cube containers, 2 each, for about a month now. Before we installed these, a 75 degree day felt like 120 inside. No, we didn’t take real readings but it was HOT. Afterwards, an 80 degree day was 82 degrees inside the container- real readings. So far these are excellent.

Easy install. Fits well. Included self tapping screws were a little weak and I broke some. Otherwise good product. I plan on changing the mounts to direct the panel at the sun better. That definitely makes a difference in fan speed.
