How to use

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Wrap the Soft Loops Around Anchor Points

  1. Wrap a soft loop strap around a structural or anchor point inside or outside your shipping container.
  2. Pull one end of the soft loop through the other and tug it tight.
  3. Pro-Tip: Using these soft loops prevents the metal hooks from directly scratching your container’s paint or your high-end cargo.

Step 2: Connect the Ratchet and S-Hooks

  1. Attach one rubber-coated S-hook from the ratchet side to your container's anchor point (or onto the soft loop you just placed).
  2. Ensure the built-in safety lock clicks shut over the loop or ring so the hook cannot accidentally pop off.
  3. Stretch the long strap over your cargo and hook the other side to an anchor point on the opposite wall or floor.

Step 3: Tighten and Lock Down

  1. Feed the loose end of the long strap through the center slot of the metal ratchet axle.
  2. Pull the excess strap through by hand until it is relatively snug over your cargo.
  3. Pump the ratchet handle back and forth. The strap will wind tightly around the axle, locking your load down securely.
  4. CRITICAL STEP: Do not over-tighten to the point of crushing your goods. Once everything is rock-solid, close the ratchet handle completely flat to engage the safety lock.

Step 4: Release and Takedown

  1. When you are ready to unload, simply pull open the spring-loaded quick-release latch inside the ratchet handle.
  2. Open the handle completely flat ($180^\circ$) to release all tension instantly, then pull the strap freely out of the mechanism.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are these ratchet straps used for?

They secure cargo and equipment inside your container so loads do not shift, slide, or topple during transport and storage. Ratchet straps use a tensioning mechanism to pull the strap tight and hold it, keeping everything locked in place, which protects both your goods and anyone opening the doors later.

How many straps come in the pack, and is that enough?

This is a 4-pack, which is enough to secure most single loads from multiple anchor points, the standard practice is to use several straps so tension is spread evenly rather than relying on one. For larger or heavier loads, you may want more than one set so every item is properly restrained.

How much weight can the straps hold?

These are heavy-duty, high-tension straps built for securing substantial loads. For the exact working load limit and break strength, check the product specifications and stay within the rated limit for safe use.

How do you use a ratchet strap?

You hook or loop each end to a secure anchor point, feed the strap through the ratchet, then crank the handle to tighten it to the tension you need. To release, you open the ratchet's release catch and the strap loosens. They are reusable, so you can adjust, remove, and re-secure them as often as needed.
